Soon, she finds herself striking a peculiar friendship with her stalker, Mako Mankanshoku, even staying at her family’s house along with a bunch of perverted gluttons. The suit makes Ryuko extremely powerful, but also as sultry as possible, and her battle begins. Eventually, Ryuko ends up with her own uniform, which is quite different though, since it is completely made of life fibers, has its own personality, and even becomes her friend after a point, with her naming it Senketsu. In this setting appears the actual protagonist of the series, Ryuko Matoi, who wields a scissor-shaped longsword that can cut Goku Uniforms, and challenges the council as she searches for her father’s killer. Furthermore, the better suit a student wears, the better situated in the area is his/her family, in a society that is rather segregated. What is the unique thing about Honnouji, however, is that the students are wearing Goku Uniforms, special suits created from a material known as Life Fibers, which are bestowed to them based on their skills and accomplishments. Just below her are the “Four Devas”, a quartet of also quite strong students, who are dedicated to her, despite having their own agendas, on occasion. The studio was also one of seven anime companies selected by Lucasfilm and Disney to create a short for their recently released anthology series, Star Wars Visions.The story takes place in Honnouji Academy, a high school in Tokyo Bay, where Satsuki Kiryuin is the head of a rather powerful council governing over hundreds of students. The animation studio has also experienced success with their acclaimed theatrical release, Promare, which was released in theaters in 2019 and is currently available for streaming on HBO Max.
SUSHIO KILL LA KILL ART SERIES
The series is set to continue with a third entry in the franchise, which will be revealed sometime during the first half of 2022. The show was both a commercial and critical success, and spawned a sequel series, SSSS. Gridman, a new anime series based on one of Tsubaraya's classic costumed action shows from the '90s. In 2018, the studio teamed up with tokusatsu studio Tsubaraya Productions to create SSSS. Since the release of Kill La Kill, studio Trigger has risen to prominence as one of Japan's top animation houses. RELATED: Trigger Celebrates Kill La Kill's Anniversary With New Art The show recently celebrated the eighth anniversary of its original premiere, which prompted studio Trigger and the show's original character designer, the artist Sushio, to release new and never before seen art from the show. Both figures are currently available for preorder from Good Smile Company's website, with the Pop-Up Parade going for $38.99 USD and the Hello! figures costing $15.99 each. Matoi's rival, Satsuki Kiryuin, and her best friend, Mako Mankanshoku, will also receive chibi figures as part of the collection. In addition to the new Pop-Up Parade, Matoi will be depicted in a cuter, chibi figure as part of the company's Hello! line.
The figure depicts Matoi with her trademark weapon, the bright red Scissor Blade. The first figure comes from Good Smile Company's Pop-Up Parade line, which usually offers a level of detail and build quality that is above other budget-priced "prize" figures but at a more affordable price than collector-grade "scale" figures, which usually cost hundreds of dollars. Good Smile Company has released new images of two of its upcoming Kill La Kill figures.īoth figures are of Kill La Kill's revenge-seeking protagonist Ryuko Matoi and portray her in her regular school outfit.
